It seems to me that people are RARELY satisfied with their lives. They always want more. Rich people who have friends and love and everything still feel like something is missing. Evolutionarily speaking, this could be useful because that is what keeps us striving for something more. Without that ambition,what would we accomplish? However, people get stuck in ruts all the time and don't change but just keep hating it. I guess I would explain that by saying that the way our society and life are these days it's harder to make a complete change. We have so much information and access to so many things that we are more prone to become bored and overloaded. We also base many things in our life on routines like work and school that it becomes difficult to change your situation unless you pull some gnarly fight-club stuff.
So here we have this outdated evolutionary drive making life suck...
tell me if what I just wrote in great haste made any sense...
