No, I think it is our ignorance that protects us from blame. If a girl does not knowingly take a risk, she is not responsible if a man rapes her (how could she have known). You needn't be nosey to cover your moral liability. If a man doesn't seem like a risk, a woman isn't responsible for being with thim. However, if she takes him home after knowing him only a few days, then she is (very slightly) responsible for being raped. It doesn't lessen his responsibility, but we still have to look out for ourselves.
