Believing in God is the logical choice but it isn't a choice. A theist believes in God and chooses to live a life with the purpose of having a good afterlife. An athiest doesn't believe in God. I agree that no athiest should say God doesn't exist because that is an assumption based on privliged information which nobody can have. The best an athiest can do is proclaim that a belief that God doesn't exist and lead an ethical life just in case.
