It’s Rumble time again

It’s back. Like The Terminator -- but thankfully minus Team Cyborg -- the ninth annual Patrick Dennehy Memorial Rumble In The Bay basketball tournament is here once again, scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, May 29-31. Games will be held at four different sites: Cupertino High, De Anza College, Independence High and Woodside High School.

The initial edition started with 21 teams and has enjoyed exponential growth. 96 squads now make up the hoops gathering, which makes it the largest high school-level spring event in the west.

The 2010 get-together will showcase teams from throughout California, plus entries hailing from Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

Nor Cal teams that will be there include the Lakeshow, the Oakland Rebels, the Bay Area Hoosiers, Play Hard Play Smart, E Time Hoops, YBA, High Intensity, Bad Boyz, Greenline (De La Salle High) and many others. For more information on the tournament go to the website: bayareaballers.org
