It was recently brought up that in any philosophical argument there is a way to justify anything that is needed. If this is the case then why is it that we need to have all these seperate arguments? Why not pull a Joseph Campbell and create a unified myth that everyone can follow? Are the elements that seperate religions that diverse that there is a need for all this belief?
It was also brought up that maybe there is no point to philosophy at all. If we can't seem to decide what's going on then why do we need to bother with all these questions and doubts?
The nhilist point of view says that in the end it wouldn't even matter, so basically what I'm asking is why does it matter? Why do we need to have all these religions? Or even a single belief system?
